The director of the Delhi-bound ad agency, Sameer Mehra (Emraan Hashmi), meets the four nobles when he is involuntary to spend the night at the house due to the exciting weather. He knows legal experts who are happy to accept him. So, Amitabh Bachchan is the prosecutor, Annu Kapoor is the defense attorney, Dhritiman Chatterjee is the judge, and Raghubir Yadav is the executioner. Anna, the mysterious housekeeper, and painter, an irrepressible Rhea Chakraborty who bursts out with blood-curdling laughter.
After a bit of chat and a drink later, Sameer goes to the senior club and agrees to enjoy the court game formed by the four experts. He finds it amusing until he is accused of murdering his boss and taking his place in the agency. Therefore, trial begins, and the discovery of Sameer’s case sets the story. Will he be convicted or acquitted?
Rumy Jafry has some good actors available, but tragically the script fails them. Emraan Hashmi has a story where he was lost despite being immensely talented, and this is no exception. So He and Mr. Bachchan do their best to add some seriousness to the slow mystery, but the actors can only save the script so far. Rhea Chakraborty plays a decent role, but she’s not impressive. You can’t blame the creators, because on paper the story may seem unconventional at first, but as it develops, it becomes more and more absurd.
Conclusion:
Four friends cum past court officials comprising a public prosecutor, defense attorney, judge. And also, executioner, regroup at a heritage mansion in an isolated hill station. Therefore, Reenacting mock trials on stranded strangers who seek refuge in their spooky house happens to be their favorite pastime. The game’s fun until things get serious.
